In 2020, I found an old composition notebook of mine containing rough sketches of tunes I had started to write in 2013. This is one of the tunes I began writing in that notebook, and decided was worth finishing seven years later. The tune goes in a few unexpected directions, but rather than adjusting any parts of the tune to conform to typical conventions, I decided to leave it this way, because that’s the way the cookie crumbles!
