Reel (2012)

At the Leahy Music Camp in 2012, I attended a composition workshop with Angus Leahy, and towards the end of the workshop, he sent us off to try writing a couple phrases of a tune by ourselves. Ten minutes later, I came back with this entire tune written. It’s still the fastest I’ve ever composed a tune to date.
